On Sunday afternoon I had a trip to the cinema to watch Vivienne Westwood; punk, icon, activist
The docuementary explores the history of her punk era to the rise of her ever expanding company.
Vivienne Westwood herself comes across as a passionate fashionista with strong brand values and a wicked sense of humour!
My favourite elements of the film include the behind the scenes footage of how much prep goes into a new season fashion show and the historical archives presented by the V&A of some of her most iconic pieces.
After leaving the cinema I fondly looked back at my own meeting with Vivienne, many years ago at graduate fashion week. She invited me to sit and join her while she drank her tea and we then discussed fashion shows and elements of the event she was most excited about.
To me she will forever be the most influential British fashion designer!
